AMC Harford County Chapter is a chapter of a national network of volunteer fundraisers, the National Volunteer Organization (NVO), whose mission is to raise funds for the AMC Cancer Fund in Denver, Colorado. This Chapter was founded in 1974 by Adrienne Asner with 27 chapter members. We are now a Chapter of 60 plus dedicated volunteers who find joy in the work of fund raising activities. The contributions of the AMC Harford County Chapter have provided monetary support for important research through the AMC Cancer Fund for innovative approaches to cancer prevention and control. Since 1998, the Chapter has also contributed funds to the Johns Hopkins Pediatric Oncology Center in Baltimore, Maryland in support of innovative research in cancer treatments and support for our children.
The mission of the AMC Cancer Fund is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the University of Colorado Cancer Center to support its outstanding programs in cancer prevention, care, education, and research.
